Apple’s latest flagship model, the iPhone 16 Pro Max, has set a new record for battery life, surpassing all its competitors. In recent comprehensive battery tests, the iPhone 16 Pro Max emerged as the clear leader within the iPhone 16 series in terms of battery endurance.
iPhone 16 Pro Max Leads the Pack!
During the test, all devices were subjected to 5G web browsing with the screen brightness set at 150 nits. Under these challenging conditions, the iPhone 16 Pro Max delivered an impressive performance, lasting 18 hours and 6 minutes without interruption. This result marks the highest battery endurance score ever recorded for an iPhone model.
Here’s how the other models in the iPhone 16 series performed:
- iPhone 16 Pro: 14 hours and 7 minutes
- iPhone 16 Plus: 16 hours and 29 minutes
- iPhone 16 Standard: 12 hours and 43 minutes
These results clearly show the battery superiority of the Pro Max model.
The success of the iPhone 16 Pro Max isn’t limited to the Apple ecosystem. Only three Android models – Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro, OnePlus 12R, and Asus ROG Phone 7 Ultimate – managed to surpass Apple’s new flagship, with times of 18 hours and 48 minutes, 18 hours and 42 minutes, and 18 hours and 32 minutes, respectively.
Meanwhile, Samsung’s Galaxy S24 Ultra, seen as Apple’s main rival, lagged behind with a battery life of 16 hours and 45 minutes, despite its 5,000mAh battery. This result highlights the efficiency of the iPhone 16 Pro Max’s smaller 4,685mAh battery.
Compared to last year’s iPhone 15 models, the new series shows significant improvements in battery performance. For instance, the iPhone 15 Pro Max achieved a time of 14 hours and 2 minutes, while the iPhone 16 Pro Max exceeded this by a full 4 hours.
These test results demonstrate the advances Apple has made in battery technology and energy efficiency, making the iPhone 16 Pro Max the ideal choice for users seeking long-lasting endurance, particularly in demanding usage scenarios.
