Market research firm Canalys has shared the data for the European smartphone market for the fourth quarter of 2023. According to these data, a total of 37.8 million phones were sold in the last quarter of the year. This figure was 38.9 million in the previous period, indicating a 3% decrease.
Continuing to examine the data, we see that Apple has risen to the top. The company shipped 12.4 million units, with a market share of 33%. Apple has been lagging behind Samsung for the past few quarters, but it now secures the first place.
In second place, we see Samsung. The company’s market share is 28%, with 10.8 million shipments. In third place on the list is Xiaomi, with a market share of 16%. The Chinese company sold 6 million phones.
On the other hand, Motorola ranks fourth. The company shipped 2 million units, with a market share of 5%. According to the data, it showed a 73% year-on-year growth. Following closely with a 116% growth rate is HONOR. Once under the Huawei umbrella but later charting its own independent path, HONOR’s market share is 3%, with 1.1 million shipments.
