Ferrari is preparing for one of the biggest transformations in its history. The famous automaker from Maranello will introduce its first fully electric model at the end of 2025. As the company focuses on the future with a zero-emission vehicle, it promises not to compromise on traditional performance. But can it really give the same feeling? Details in our news…
Ferrari’s first electric model arrives in 2025
The year 2024 was a year in which Ferrari demonstrated its commitment to internal combustion engines. The company introduced two important models this year. These include the F80 and the 12Cilindri Spider. Inspired by the Le Mans winner 499P, the F80 is powered by a 3.0-liter V6 engine and three electric motors for a total of 1,200 horsepower. With only 799 units produced, the car accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 2.15 seconds and has a maximum speed of 350 km/h.
The 12Cilindri Spider model offers 830 horsepower with its 6.5-liter V12 engine and has a design inspired by the 1967 365 GTB. The starting price of the vehicle is 435 thousand euros. Although information about Ferrari’s electric model is still limited, it is said that the company guarantees that it will provide the same driving excitement. Here are the first details about the electric Ferrari:
- Prototype tests: The first prototype images of the electric Ferrari first appeared in June. The car’s provisional design features lines similar to Maserati models.
- Development process: Ferrari is developing the motors, inverters and batteries in-house. The new vehicle will be produced at Ferrari’s recently opened high-tech e-building facility.
- Estimated price: The electric supercar is expected to cost around half a million euros.
Ferrari CEO Benedetto Vigna stated that the electric model will offer a unique driving experience, preserving the spirit of the brand. However, we will see this more clearly in the tests to be carried out after the vehicle is released. With this vehicle, the company will not only be limited to electric vehicles, but will also direct the development of future Ferrari models. We expect more details about this iconic model to be revealed by the end of 2025.
