Samsung, one of the successful players in the smartphone market, continues its efforts to expand its product range. The South Korean manufacturer will soon organize a new Galaxy Unpacked event. The event is expected to showcase many products, such as the Galaxy Z Fold 5, Flip 5, and Galaxy Watch 6 series. So, when is the Galaxy Unpacked event? Samsung has officially announced it!
When will Galaxy Unpacked be held?
The date for Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event has been officially announced. The South Korean manufacturer recently shared a Galaxy Z Flip 5-themed poster, revealing that the event will take place on July 26. Although it is not yet announced which products will be introduced at the launch, as mentioned above, it is expected that the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5 foldable phones will be showcased, along with the Galaxy Watch 6 series, Galaxy Tab S9 series, and new earbuds to be presented to users.
The model that is expected to attract the most attention at the launch is the Galaxy Z Fold 5. The foldable phone recently appeared on the Geekbench database. The smartphone achieved a score of 1,843 in single-core tests and 5,083 in multi-core tests. Additionally, some technical details of the product have been confirmed.
According to Geekbench, the Z Fold 5 will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. The chipset with a 4 nm architecture includes 1x 3.36 GHz ARM Cortex-X3, 2x 2.8 GHz ARM Cortex-A710, 2x 2.8 GHz ARM Cortex-A715, 3x 2.0 GHz ARM Cortex-A510 cores, and an Adreno graphics unit. Furthermore, it will feature 12GB of LPDDR5x RAM. The storage options will include a 1TB variant with UFS 4.0 support.
According to previous leaks, the foldable phone will have a primary display of 7.6 inches with QHD+ resolution and an AMOLED panel. In addition, there will be a secondary external display of 6.5 inches with Full HD+ resolution. It’s worth noting that both panels will have a 120Hz refresh rate.
The rear camera setup of the Galaxy Z Fold 5 will consist of a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 10-megapixel telephoto lens. Additionally, it will house a 12-megapixel front camera. According to rumors, the model will also feature a 4-megapixel under-display camera.
