Renault is preparing to unveil its all-new, fourth-generation Twingo E-Tech, which combines retro design with electric power. The new Twingo, which will be officially unveiled on November 6th, offers an affordable electric car alternative for urban commuters with a starting price of around €20,000.
The Electric Renault Twingo is Here
The new model, like the electric Renault 5, draws inspiration from the brand’s history. This time, the design is inspired by the first-generation Twingo from the 1990s. This evokes nostalgia for those who remember the original Twingo.

The newly shared teaser images and last year’s concept design suggest the 2026 Twingo has a successful design. The car’s modern LED headlights create a “friendly cartoon face.” The wide-glass front design is once again combined with a short hood. However, unlike the first generation, the new Twingo is not a two-door model, but a full four-door model.
The vehicle’s interior remains a mystery. However, based on the concept design, the interior is expected to feature a 10.1-inch infotainment screen and a 7-inch digital instrument cluster.

Technical specifications indicate that some restrictions will be in place to maintain the price target. For example, the Renault 5 E-Tech offers 94 horsepower and a 312 km range from a 40 kWh battery.
However, these figures are likely to be reduced to keep the Twingo’s price below 20,000 euros. Another affordable model from the group, the Dacia Spring, offers a 225 km range with a 24.3 kWh LFP battery. All technical details of the Twingo will be fully revealed at the launch on November 6th.
