Images showing the design of the electric Corolla sedan concept, which Toyota is preparing to unveil at this year’s Japan Mobility Expo, have leaked to the public ahead of its official unveiling. This new concept car reflects the brand’s future automotive vision and is expected to be an all-electric model.
The electric Toyota Corolla is here
The new concept takes the design language used in the brand’s current models a step further. The vehicle exhibits a sharper and more aggressive stance, completely different from the classic Corolla. Notable features at the front include LED strips and a fully enclosed grille.

This enclosed design demonstrates a strong emphasis on aerodynamic efficiency. Furthermore, a slim air intake below the grille and an additional air duct below the windshield direct air over the body, demonstrating a lower drag coefficient.
The concept’s overall proportions also clearly indicate that the vehicle is built on an all-electric platform. The short front hood, forward-positioned cabin, and long wheelbase reinforce this. Furthermore, the design details reveal that the vehicle is not merely a showcase concept.
Elements such as standard side mirrors, conventional door handles, and the charging port on the left fender indicate that the design is closer to production. The headlight and taillight assemblies are also understated and easily adaptable to mass production.
Toyota already sells an electric sedan, the bZ3, in the Chinese market. However, this model is offered exclusively in that country. Therefore, the new electric Corolla concept could be the brand’s first compact electric sedan to be offered globally. More information about Toyota’s new electric Corolla will be officially announced at the Japan Mobility Expo, which opens its doors on October 29th.
