Apple has added a new feature that supports eSIM transfer between iPhone and Android devices with iOS 26. Thanks to this update, users will be able to transfer their eSIM numbers between the two platforms without contacting the operator.
Until now, this transition, especially for those who want to switch from iPhone to Android, often required manual processing and operator support. In other words, an additional new eSIM fee of 200-300 TL could be paid. So how is it done now?
With iOS 26, eSIM transfer between iPhone and Android has become possible!

In the new system settings, some users started to see the “Transfer to Android” option in their cellular settings. This option is not currently active for every operator, but for example, it has been activated for many users.
When adding an eSIM in iOS 26, the “Transfer from Android” option is also offered. When this process is started, a QR code that can be scanned with an Android device is created. Similarly, transfer is made via QR code when switching from iPhone to Android.
This feature was developed simultaneously with the “Transfer to Android” reference in Google’s Android 16 beta. Therefore, it is possible to say that Apple developed and integrated this function together with Google.
iPhone-to-iPhone eSIM transfer was previously made much easier with iOS 18. However, iPhone-to-Android transitions often required a QR code request and manual operation. With iOS 26, this process becomes simpler and more user-friendly. This update offers significant ease of transition, especially for users considering switching platforms.
