Calling all anime lovers! Netflix is reviving another wave of nostalgia, giving life to a classic comic book with an anime identity. Comic book fans won’t be disappointed, as O’Malley has adapted “Scott Pilgrim Takes Off” faithfully to the comics.
“Scott Pilgrim Takes Off” is brought to life by Science Saru, a Japanese studio founded by Masaaki Yuasa and Eunyoung Choi, known for works like “Inu-Oh,” “Devilman Crybaby,” “Japan Sinks,” and more. Most of the cast from Edgar Wright’s 2010 film are returning to voice their characters.
Indeed, anime enthusiasts are in for a treat, as the voice cast includes some very familiar names! Michael Cera, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Satya Bhabha, Kieran Culkin, Chris Evans, Anna Kendrick, Brie Larson, Alison Pill, Aubrey Plaza, Brandon Routh, Jason Schwartzman, Johnny Simmons, Mark Webber, Mae Whitman, and Ellen Wong are all returning to reprise their roles.
