Despite making significant upgrades to the Galaxy Z Flip 7, Samsung has not changed its pricing strategy. Reports suggest that the use of the Exynos 2500 processor played a key role in the company’s ability to maintain the same price. Compared to the previous model, the foldable phone features a larger cover display and an increased battery capacity, yet it launched with a stable price tag of $1,099.
Galaxy Z Flip 7’s Success May Influence Galaxy S26 Series Processor Choice
According to information shared by Korea-based DealSite, Samsung opted for the Exynos 2500 chipset in the Galaxy Z Flip 7 to keep production costs under control. The chip is built using Samsung Foundry’s 3nm process.

Because it is more cost-effective than Qualcomm’s Snapdragon processors, the Exynos 2500 enabled the company to improve the phone’s hardware without increasing its price.
Samsung is expected to evaluate the sales performance of the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and may adopt a similar strategy for the Galaxy S26 series. The company is reportedly working on the Exynos 2600 chipset, which will be manufactured using a 2nm process.
As known, the Galaxy S25 series will be powered solely by Snapdragon processors. However, Samsung may shift back to in-house chip production and reintroduce Exynos chips in the Galaxy S26 lineup.
