Crazy Taxi is getting its first big game in over 15 years. The first images from the Crazy Taxi reboot project announced by Sega in recent months have arrived. Accordingly, the game will be coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PC and Nintendo Switch.
The game, which will be developed with Unreal Engine 5, will feature open-world and narrative gameplay. In addition to the open world, there will be multiplayer elements for the first time in the series. Sega stated that it will combine high-speed driving dynamics with multiplayer mechanics. He said he would be experimenting with online and MMO features.
The leak also revealed that 2027 is being targeted as the release date. Sega will not use the game’s overhead camera and will adopt an open-world design. The developer team said it will offer an energetic map of California with photorealistic visuals and vibrant colors.
The leak shows that Sega is making significant progress on its ambitious goals. Of course, the game is still in early development, but we think it will be much further along in a few years.
