Xiaomi typically rolls out new updates to beta users first. HyperOS 2.2 follows this approach. Users who want to be among the first to receive updates can join the beta program via the Mi Community app. However, beta versions may contain bugs, so users seeking a more stable software experience are advised to wait for the general release.
The new version brings several improvements aimed at enhancing system stability and usability. Animations now respond faster, and landscape mode apps offer a smoother interface. Screen flickering and visual glitches during app launches and exits have also been reduced.
The camera app has received a refreshed design. Menus and settings have been simplified, and new watermark options along with customizable positioning have been added.
