Details about the upcoming Vivo V29 Pro model, which the company is set to unveil to users very soon, continue to emerge. The smartphone, expected to be a rebranded version of the Vivo S17 Pro introduced in June, recently had its launch date announced.
Vivo V29 Pro’s launch date announced
Vivo recently revealed through a promotional poster that the V29 Pro will be unveiled on October 4th. While the poster did not provide any technical specifications of the smartphone, previous leaks suggest that it will be a rebranded version of the Vivo S17 Pro.
As a reminder, the Vivo S17 Pro features a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a resolution of 2800 x 1260, and a pixel density of 452 PPI. The smartphone, designed with a punch-hole display, is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8200 processor manufactured using a 4nm fabrication process.
The model offers options of 8/12 GB RAM and 256/512 GB internal storage. Additionally, the fingerprint sensor is positioned under the display for security.
On the front, there is a 50-megapixel selfie camera, and on the back, a triple camera setup consisting of a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766V main camera with OIS, an 8-megapixel Sony IMX355 ultra-wide camera, and a 12-megapixel Sony IMX663 telephoto sensor.
In terms of the battery, there is a 4,600 mAh battery capable of charging at 80W speeds. Other features include dual SIM support, 5G connectivity, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, GNSS, NFC, and USB 2.0 (Type-C).
