The popular Chinese phone manufacturer, Vivo, is expanding its smartphone portfolio with new devices. The company held a launch event, where it unveiled the Vivo S17, S17 Pro, and S17t models. Vivo S17 Pro is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 8200 SoC
Vivo’s latest flagship phone, S17 Pro, comes with MediaTek’s new Dimensity 8200 SoC, which is a 4nm processor with Mali-G610 MC6 GPU. The S17 is powered by Snapdragon 778G 6nm Mobile Platform with Adreno 642L GPU, while the S17t has the MediaTek Dimensity 8050 6nm processor with ARM G77 MC9 GPU. Additionally, the S17 series comes with up to 12GB of LPDDR4X (S17 and S17t) or LPDDR5 (S17 Pro) RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage options.
The vivo S17 series feature a 6.78-inch FHD+ 120Hz curved AMOLED display with 2160Hz PWM dimming, and HDR10+. In terms of camera, all devices have a 50-megapixel main camera, OIS, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor with f/2.2 aperture on the back, and a 50-megapixel autofocus selfie camera on the front. While the Pro model has a 12-megapixel 2x telephoto camera, others don’t feature the telephoto function.
Vivo S17 and S17 Pro will be available in Mountain Sea Green and Black color options, while the S17 also comes in Pink and the Pro comes in Ice White color. Additionally, the phones have a 4,600mAh battery with 80W fast charging support. The phone series will be on sale in China on June 8.
