Apple unveiled its first product of the week with the announcement of the iMac with the new M4 processor. But this is only the beginning of Apple’s surprises. The company is preparing to introduce the M4 MacBook Pro and M4 Mac mini models later this week. But will they live up to expectations?
Apple excitement is not over: M4 MacBook Pro and M4 Mac mini coming this week
John Ternus, Apple’s head of hardware engineering, said in the iMac introduction video, “This week is very important for the Mac lineup. We started a new product line this morning, and there will be exciting innovations in the days ahead.”
The new MacBook Pro models are expected to come in classic 14-inch and 16-inch sizes. The starter model will feature the M4 processor, while more powerful options will include M4 Pro and M4 Max chips. No major design changes are expected for these models; radical updates such as OLED displays and thinner designs are expected in 2026. However, the entry-level 14-inch model is expected to have some subtle touches that will make users happy, such as an increase in Thunderbolt ports and the start of 16 GB memory.
Let’s talk about the M4 Mac mini. This model is known as Apple’s most compact desktop computer, but now it will be reborn with an even smaller design. The new Mac mini is planned to be closer in size to the Apple TV, making it more portable and practical.
It will also increase connectivity options with two USB-C ports added to the front. Like the MacBook Pro, the Mac mini will come with the M4 and M4 Pro processor options, with 16 GB of initial memory. This is an interesting demonstration of how Apple optimizes high performance in a compact device.
The new MacBook Pro and Mac mini are expected to be available for pre-order this week, followed by official availability in November. The M4 iMac, on the other hand, is currently on pre-order and will start shipping on November 8. In short, it looks like it’s going to be a very exciting week for those who want to breathe new life into the Apple ecosystem. What do you think?
