Apple’s digital streaming platform, Apple TV, continues to attract attention with the ambitious productions it has added to its library. According to the company’s latest announcement, Vince Gilligan’s new series, Pluribus, has officially earned the title of the most-watched production in the platform’s history. The platform’s content strategy has seen a significant increase in viewership with the high-quality productions released recently.
The Breaking Bad creator’s new series, Pluribus, broke all records.
Initial data shared last month indicated that the series had surpassed Severance season 2, making it the platform’s most successful drama opening. This success was hardly surprising, given that it’s the new project from Vince Gilligan, the creator of legendary television shows like Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul. With very high expectations, the series quickly captured the attention of viewers from its release.
Apple generally prefers not to publicly share exact viewership numbers or data analysis. However, on a platform featuring globally acclaimed shows like Ted Lasso, The Morning Show, Slow Horses, and The Studio, Pluribus’s ascent to the top in just a few weeks, surpassing all its competitors, is considered a significant achievement. Furthermore, the fact that F1 The Movie also topped the platform’s film category on the same day demonstrates the company’s dynamic and productive content presence.
The nine-episode first season will conclude on December 26th. Due to Apple’s initial commitment to two seasons, development for the second season has already begun. As viewers approach the season finale, the guaranteed future of the series reinforces confidence in the project.
Unfortunately, despite all these global successes and records, Apple TV is not yet officially available in Turkey. While the tech giant is expanding its services and product range in many countries, users in Turkey still cannot directly access this content. This gap in the Turkish market continues to be felt by tech and series enthusiasts as the platform’s global rise continues.
So what are your thoughts on this? If Apple TV officially came to Turkey, would you consider subscribing?
