Mercedes-Benz has introduced the all-electric new generation of the GLC, its best-selling model worldwide for years. Taking the brand’s design, technology, and luxury to the next level, the new electric GLC is poised to set new standards in the midsize SUV segment with features summarized by the slogan “Iconic, versatile, intuitive, and smooth.” The vehicle, which will debut as the 360 kW GLC 400 4MATIC, boasts a range of up to 713 kilometers and groundbreaking innovations.
Iconic Design: Redefining the Brand’s Face
The new GLC takes the brand’s “Sensual Purity” design philosophy to a new level. The vehicle’s most striking feature is its iconic illuminated, high-tech grille, which redefines the face of Mercedes-Benz. This grille can optionally be equipped with a pixel graphic consisting of 942 polycarbonate backlit dots, enabling animations that truly bring the vehicle to life.

Inside, the driver and passengers are greeted by the MBUX HYPERSCREEN, the largest screen ever used in a Mercedes-Benz, stretching seamlessly from one end to the other at 99.3 cm (39.1 inches). This massive screen elevates the brand’s “Welcome Home” feeling to a new level. The sense of luxury and spaciousness within the interior is further enhanced by the standard panoramic roof. The optional SKY CONTROL panoramic roof features nine zones of glass that can be switched between transparent and opaque. At night, 162 stars integrated into the roof illuminate the roof, creating a captivating atmosphere.

With the new GLC, Mercedes-Benz has achieved another first, becoming the first car manufacturer in the world to offer a fully vegan interior package independently approved by The Vegan Society.
Intuitive Technology: MB.OS, the AI-Powered “Super Brain”
The new GLC is powered by the Mercedes-Benz Operating System (MB.OS), the brand’s in-house developed and AI-driven “super brain.” This system integrates and controls every aspect of the vehicle, from infotainment and autonomous driving to comfort and charging.

- Next-Generation MBUX: The fourth-generation MBUX, the world’s first in-car infotainment system to integrate artificial intelligence from Microsoft and Google, offers a personalized experience.
- MBUX Virtual Assistant: Using a “Multi-Agent Approach,” the assistant can engage in complex, multi-stage conversations using the collective knowledge of the internet. Users can communicate with the assistant in natural language, as if chatting with a friend, by simply saying “Hey Mercedes.”
- Entertainment and Apps: The front passenger is provided with a wide range of entertainment options, including over 40 apps, video streaming, and direct access to Disney+. Sound Experience: Dolby Atmos can now be enjoyed via Apple CarPlay. The optional Burmester 4D surround sound system transforms music into a tactile experience with vibration generators (exciters) in the seats.
Versatility: More Space and Superior Towing Capacity
- Built on an all-electric architecture, the new GLC offers a more spacious living space than its internal combustion engine siblings.
- Ample Interior Volume: Thanks to an 84 mm longer wheelbase, rear seat passengers have 47 mm more legroom.
- Load Capacity: The rear trunk offers 570 liters, expanding to 1,740 liters with the seats folded. Furthermore, an additional compartment under the front hood, called the “frunk,” provides an additional 128 liters of storage.
- Towing Capacity: The GLC 400 4MATIC has a braked towing capacity of up to 2.4 tons, making it ideal for large caravans, boats, or horse trailers. Off-Road Capability: Standard on 4MATIC models, the TERRAIN driving mode and the “transparent hood” feature, which uses the front camera to virtually reveal the underside of the vehicle, make off-road driving easier.

Smooth Performance: Range, Charging, and Driving Comfort
The new GLC promises a comfortable and dynamic drive with its long range, fast-charging capabilities, and technologies derived from the S-Class.
- Range and Charging: Thanks to the 800-volt system and next-generation battery, charging times are significantly reduced. Current estimates indicate that the vehicle can gain a range of up to 303 kilometers with a ten-minute charge. The vehicle is also ready for bi-directional charging technology, which can act as a power supplier for the home (V2H) or grid (V2G) when connected to a compatible DC charging station.
- Braking System: The new “One-Box” braking system ensures consistent and safe brake pedal feel, whether using energy regeneration or traditional friction braking. Up to 300 kW of recuperation power delivers a “one-pedal driving” feel in most situations.

Suspension and Steering: The AIRMATIC air suspension, familiar from the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, delivers superior ride comfort. The rear-axle steering system, capable of turning up to 4.5 degrees, reduces the turning circle by 90 centimeters to 11.2 meters, giving the vehicle exceptional agility.
