Mercedes-Benz has officially unveiled the new CLA Shooting Brake, the station wagon version of the CLA series. Sharing the same technical infrastructure as the sedan, the model stands out with its expanded interior and luggage space. The next-generation CLA Shooting Brake is scheduled to go on sale in March 2026.
The new Mercedes CLA Shooting Brake has been unveiled
The new model shares the sedan’s body style up to the B-pillar. At the rear, a more sloping roofline, unlike the traditional station wagon lines, has been adopted. This gives the vehicle a sportier and more dynamic silhouette, rather than a classic family car.

With changes to the body dimensions, the wheelbase has been increased by 6 centimeters to 2.79 meters. Overall length and height have also increased by approximately 3 centimeters. These changes allow for increased head and legroom in the rear seats, while the door openings have been redesigned to improve rear seat access.
The new CLA Shooting Brake’s engine options are identical to those of the sedan. The single-engine, rear-wheel-drive CLA 250+ is equipped with a synchronous electric motor producing 200 kW and 335 Nm of torque. This version features a two-speed transmission.
The higher-performance CLA 350 4MATIC model features an additional asynchronous motor on the front axle. This configuration brings total power to 260 kW and torque to 515 Nm. The CLA 250+ accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.8 seconds, while the CLA 350 4MATIC accelerates in 5 seconds. Both models have a top speed of 210 km/h.
Both versions are built on Mercedes’ new MMA platform, featuring an 800-volt architecture. The vehicles utilize an 85 kWh NMC battery. Mercedes’ long-range-focused “Plus” CLA 250+ Shooting Brake version offers a range of 761 kilometers according to WLTP standards.
This figure is 31 kilometers less than the sedan version. The all-wheel-drive model has a range of 730 kilometers. All versions feature DC fast charging support at up to 320 kW, and charging from 10% to 80% is reported to take 22 minutes.
The most significant difference in the CLA Shooting Brake is its interior. According to Mercedes, the model has a trunk volume ranging from 455 liters to 1,290 liters. The illuminated 101-liter front trunk under the hood also provides additional storage.
The price of the model has not yet been announced. However, considering current pricing, the starting price for the CLA 250+ sedan in Europe is €55,800, while the CLA 350 4MATIC is €60,380. The Shooting Brake version is expected to be positioned slightly above these levels.
Mercedes-Benz plans to offer more affordable LFP battery-powered versions and performance-focused AMG models for the CLA family in the future.
