Toyota has officially launched the Corolla, one of its most popular models worldwide, in the Chinese market after a comprehensive facelift. Produced in a FAW-Toyota partnership, the new model attracts attention with both its sharp design lines and increased dimensions.

With factory direct sales discounts in China, the price of the vehicle ranges from 99,000 yuan to 118,000 yuan. Based on current exchange rates, this corresponds to approximately $14,060 to $16,760. The company continues to increase its competitiveness in the region by pursuing an aggressive pricing policy.

Significant changes were made to the body structure during the engineering phase of the refreshed Corolla. The total length of the vehicle has been increased by 75 mm to 4,710 mm, while the wheelbase has been increased by 50 mm to 2,750 mm.
This increase in dimensions, particularly noticeable in rear seat space, brings the Corolla closer to the comfort level of sedan models in a higher segment. On the exterior, the brand’s new generation design language, the “hammerhead” front end and C-shaped headlights, stand out. Vertical air vents and the spoiler integrated into the trunk lid give the vehicle a much more dynamic and assertive look compared to previous generations.
Inside, technology and user experience are prioritized. The cabin features an 8.8-inch digital instrument panel and a 12.9-inch high-resolution touchscreen multimedia display.
The infotainment system is equipped with Apple CarPlay and Huawei HiCar support, while comfort features such as 50W fast wireless charging and ambient lighting with 64 different color options are standard.
In terms of safety, the Toyota Pilot driver assistance system is offered in all packages from the entry level onwards, providing active assistance in highway and city traffic. The vehicle also supports wireless software updates (OTA), allowing it to stay technologically up-to-date.
Toyota has made a radical decision regarding engine options, completely eliminating the old 1.2 turbo and 1.5 naturally aspirated engines. The new Corolla is offered with a 2.0-liter naturally aspirated gasoline engine producing 171 horsepower and a fifth-generation 1.8-liter hybrid system.
The hybrid version boasts impressive fuel economy figures, averaging 4.13 liters per 100 kilometers. Offering a range of approximately 1,000 kilometers on a full tank, this engine option is positioned as a primary choice for users aiming for low carbon emissions and high efficiency.
