When buying a new smartphone, you need to consider many factors for the longevity of the device. Among these factors, aside from the camera, battery, charging speed, screen and connection features, the amount of radiation it emits is also very important. So which smartphones emit the most radiation? Here are the models mentioned…
Smartphones that emit the most radiation
The amount of radiation emitted by smartphones is measured by the Specific Absorption Rate (SAR value). The SAR value is defined as the power per kilogram in watts. This measurement shows how much radio frequency energy your phone emits into your body.
When we look at the ranking of the smartphone models that emit the most radiation, we see that the Motorola Edge 30 Pro, released in February 2022, comes out on top. Its SAR value is 2.25 W/kg for the head and 3.37 W/kg for the body.
In second place was the Xiaomi 13 Pro. Xiaomi 13 Pro, which the Chinese brand launched in February 2023, emits 2.05 W/kg radiation for the head and 3.03 W/kg for the body. The OnePlus 11 Pro, which follows right after it, has SAR values of 1.97 W/kg and 2.95 W/kg, respectively.
The smartphones that emit the most radiation were ranked as follows;
