Tesla has launched the updated versions of its luxury sedan and SUV models Model S and Model X in the US. The new models came with a price increase of $ 5,000 and are currently only offered as Long Range or Plaid versions.
The longest range Tesla ever is on sale but it will not come to Turkey!
The general line was preserved in the updated vehicles, but many improvements were made. Road and wind noise were reduced, and the active noise cancellation system was developed. The vehicles, which come with a new rim and bumper design that increases efficiency, adopt the adaptive headlight system. The vehicles can now be purchased with a new color option called “Frost Blue”. This color option is offered for an additional fee of $ 2,500.

New 19-inch Magnetite rims are used in the Model S and these are more aerodynamic than the previous rims. For an additional fee of $4,500, 21-inch Velarium wheels can also be selected. The Model X has new 20-inch Perihelix and 22-inch Machina wheel options.
Improvements in the suspension system increase driving comfort. The new bushing design and updated suspension system offer a smoother driving experience. A better-quality front camera has also been added to the vehicles, which provides the driver with a wider field of view.
The interior features dynamic ambient lighting. This system offers unique animations along the dashboard and doors. Previously used in the Model 3 and Model Y, this technology is now available in luxury models.
The range of the Model S Long Range has been announced as 660 kilometers, which Tesla describes as “our longest-range vehicle yet.” The Model X has more space for third-row passengers and increased luggage capacity.
The new prices are as follows: Model S Long Range starts at $84,990, Model S Plaid starts at $99,990. Model X Long Range starts at $89,990, Model X Plaid starts at $104,990. All versions have been increased by $5,000.
These models will not be sold in Turkey. Tesla’s focus in the Turkish market is on the Model Y. The company announced last week that the 8 millionth vehicle from the X account was produced in the factory in Germany. The vehicles produced in the Berlin factory are brought to Turkey as well as Europe.
There is a huge demand for Model Y in Turkey. The sales process of the new Model Y has been on the agenda with problems for a long time. According to the latest official statement from Tesla, the last inventory list was sold out in minutes due to the incredible demand in Turkey.
The reason for the technical problems experienced during the sales process was that the inventory system was exposed to millions of automatic bot requests in a short time. This affected the accessibility of the site and while the security system blocked the bot traffic, it also affected the access of some real users.
The new Tesla Model Y is sold in Turkey from ready inventory and direct orders are still not available. The reason for this is the “45-day rule” introduced by the Ministry of Trade. According to this rule, an order form has been made mandatory in order to prevent buyer grievances in orders where partial payments are received.
The authorized dealer cannot request payment from the buyer without preparing this form, delivers the vehicle for which a deposit has been received to the buyer within 45 days, and cannot receive a deposit of more than 10 percent of the sales price until 7 days before the vehicle is delivered. The buyer can cancel their order without paying any penalty within 14 days from the date the order form was issued.
Tesla’s Model S and Model X sales have fallen in recent years. The company once aimed to sell 100 thousand Model S/X units per year, but it no longer discloses the sales figures for these models separately. It is estimated that less than 50 thousand units will be sold worldwide in 2024.
