Rumors suggest that the highly anticipated NVIDIA RTX 5000 SUPER series updates for NVIDIA’s next-generation Blackwell-based graphics cards may be delayed. According to information reported by Taiwan-based technology site Benchlife, the release of the RTX 5080 Super, RTX 5070 Ti Super, and RTX 5070 Super models could be delayed to the first or second quarter of 2026.
We previously reported that these cards could be unveiled at CES 2026 or released in the last quarter of 2025. However, new claims suggest that the Super refreshes could be released between March and May 2026. Benchlife also notes that no graphics card manufacturer has yet received official information regarding these models, raising the possibility that NVIDIA may still have a release date.
Estimated specifications of the RTX 5000 SUPER series
While official specifications haven’t been released yet, leaks suggest:
- RTX 5080 Super → 24GB VRAM
- RTX 5070 Ti Super → 24GB VRAM
- RTX 5070 Super → 18GB VRAM

These memory increases represent a significant improvement for the RTX 5070, which has been criticized for only having 12GB of VRAM. If the rumors are true, the RTX 5070 Super could pose a serious challenge to AMD’s RDNA 4-based RX 9070 XT graphics card.
The RX 9070 XT currently retails for $650 (27,000 TL) in the US. The RTX 5070 Super is rumored to launch around $600 (25,000 TL), and NVIDIA could even drop the price to $550 (23,000 TL). Such a move could force AMD to make a swift move in its pricing policy.
YouTuber Moore’s Law is Dead previously suggested that RTX 5000 Super models could be available in the fourth quarter of 2025. However, Benchlife’s latest estimate casts doubt on this expectation. If the new claims are true, users hoping to see Super updates for NVIDIA’s Blackwell series may have to wait until the first quarter of 2026 at the earliest.
For now, the future of the RTX 5000 Super series remains uncertain. However, considering NVIDIA’s roadmap for previous generations, Super refreshes seem quite likely. The question is: when?
