New information has emerged regarding Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S26 series, which will be unveiled in January 2026. Leaked technical details provide clear information about the battery capacity and some hardware upgrades that will be included in the three models.
The Galaxy S26 Pro will be unveiled
The Galaxy S26 Pro will feature a 4,300 mAh battery. This capacity is increased from the 4,000 mAh capacity in the previous Galaxy S25. The screen size is also increasing accordingly. The Galaxy S25’s 6.2-inch AMOLED display is now 6.27 inches in the Galaxy S26 Pro. The display will also feature a 120Hz refresh rate.

The Galaxy S26 Edge, another member of the series, will feature a 4,200 mAh battery. The top-tier Galaxy S26 Ultra will retain its 5,000 mAh battery. However, this time, the charging technology is undergoing a significant change. The 45W charging support used in the Galaxy S25 Ultra is now increased to 60W in the S26 Ultra. The device is reportedly going to be slightly thinner.
The Galaxy S26 Ultra also features camera updates. The device will feature the 2026 version of the 200-megapixel ISOCELL HP2 sensor. This sensor will come with a wider-aperture lens.
This lens, which increases light intake, is expected to significantly improve camera performance in low-light conditions. This improvement is said to be particularly effective in wide-angle shots compared to the camera in the Galaxy S25 Ultra.
The Galaxy S26 series will reportedly feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 for Galaxy chip. This 4.74 GHz processor will be manufactured by TSMC. However, it is not yet clear whether this processor will be standard in all markets. It is possible that the series may launch with an Exynos processor in some regions.
All this information is based on verified technical data. There’s no official statement from Samsung yet. More details about the Galaxy S26 series are expected to emerge as the launch date approaches.
