Volkswagen has designed a special version of its popular Golf hatchback called the Black Edition. As the name suggests, the Golf Black Edition features a much darker finish on both the interior and exterior for a tougher look.
Volkswagen Golf Black Edition features
The Golf Black Edition, which is planned to be available only in the UK in the first phase, promises an average performance. According to the company, it will be positioned above the Golf and Golf R-Line models, but below the Golf GTI and Golf R models.
While the vehicle design is kept the same as the 2023 models, there are a few minor changes. The 18-inch black alloy wheels, tinted rear windows, LED-illuminated headlights with daytime running lights, and black exterior mirrors and door handle stand out.
The cabin features sports seats with leather upholstery and red stitching. The interior lighting comes in 30 customizable colors. Other features include a reversing camera, winter package and tinted rear windows.
Volkswagen will sell the Golf Black Edition with different engine options. These will be a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with 148 horsepower or a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with 190 horsepower.
The price of the Volkswagen Golf Black Edition starts at £32,000 in the UK. Although it is more expensive than the standard Golf, it offers more savings than the upgrades of the standard model. It is uncertain whether this model will come to other countries.
