HBO continues its expansion of the popular Game of Thrones universe at full speed. A fresh trailer for the highly anticipated new series, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, was released today. The new installment will premiere on January 18th.
A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms Trailer
Adapted from the Dunk & Egg books, written by George R.R. Martin as an extension of the Game of Thrones (A Song of Ice and Fire) series, the series takes place approximately a century before the events of the original series.
The series follows the adventures of Ser Duncan the Tall (Dunk), one of Westeros’ legendary knights, and his young squire, Egg. Egg is the younger version of Aegon V Targaryen, a member of the Targaryen family who has the potential to claim the throne. A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms reveals their journey across Westeros, providing a more detailed account of the order before the wars and Westeros’ history.
Peter Claffey plays the series’ main character, Ser Duncan Tall (Dunk). Dexter Sol Ansell plays his young squire, Egg. The cast includes Finn Bennett (Aerion Targaryen), Bertie Carvel (Baelor Targaryen), Tanzyn Crawford (Tanselle), Daniel Ings (Ser Lyonel Baratheon), and Sam Spruell (Maekar Targaryen). Promotions for the series, which is approaching its premiere, are in full swing.
