Samsung is working on a much slimmer version of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 to fill a major gap in the foldable phone market. Leaked details, codenamed Q6A, suggest that the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim could be very close to official launch.
Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim leaked
According to new leaks emerging in the US, the Fold 6 Slim (model SM-F958N) will feature the same 10 Megapixel front-facing camera as the standard Z Fold 6. The rear camera features are not yet known, but it is rumored to feature a 12 Megapixel ultra-wide camera.
More importantly, the Fold 6 Slim is said to have a much better under-screen selfie camera. While the Z Fold 6 features a 4 Megapixel camera, the Slim will reportedly increase this to 5 Megapixels.
Leaks showed that the Fold 6 Slim will be 10 mm thick when folded. It is also stated that it will have a 6.5-inch outer screen and an 8-inch inner screen. Samsung is rumored to use a titanium frame for more durability and premium feel. This means it will be the first foldable with titanium alloy.
Launch plans will vary according to countries. It is said that the Fold 6 Slim will first be launched in South Korea on September 25th with the Z Fold 6 at a price of approximately $2100. It was stated that sales will be limited to South Korea and China at the first stage.
We think that Samsung’s offering a thinner model in the foldable market will attract users who want to switch to this area. Of course, it is uncertain whether the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim will come to Turkey.
