UK-based micromobility startup Bo is attracting attention with its new model, the Bo Turbo, which pushes the boundaries of the electric scooter segment. The company aims to break a Guinness World Record by reaching a speed of 160 kilometers per hour with this scooter. With its technical capabilities and performance figures, the Bo Turbo completely surpasses the perception of traditional e-scooters.
The Bo Turbo Could Break a Guinness World Record
About a year and a half ago, Bo launched its first model, the Bo M, into the UK and European markets. Now, it has unveiled the Bo Turbo, developed by a team of Formula 1 engineers. The new model, featuring dual 24 kW motors and a 1.8 kWh battery, offers a range of up to 240 kilometers. These figures are far beyond the norm for an electric scooter.

The scooter’s single-piece aluminum body provides both weight savings and increased durability. The vehicle also features a special cooling system inspired by the brake air ducts used in Formula 1 racing cars. Bo claims this scooter has a power-to-weight ratio higher than supercars like the Bugatti Veyron.
The Bo Turbo’s technical specifications make it unsuitable for traffic in most countries due to legal restrictions. Therefore, the model is being marketed as a purely demonstration product. Despite this, the first buyer of the limited-edition Bo Turbo is a collector in Spain. With a price tag of $29,500, the vehicle appeals to a relatively high-end segment.
Bo, currently preparing for a speed test overseen by the Guinness World Records team, is presenting a model unlike any other in the e-scooter category. If the company’s claim comes true, the Bo Turbo will become the world’s fastest electric scooter.
