Netflix has just unveiled the release date for its highly anticipated animated series, “Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft,” with an exciting new trailer. Fans can mark their calendars for October 10, when the series will pick up after the events of the Survivor Trilogy, featuring a young Lara Croft.
According to Netflix’s Tudum, the series will follow Lara as she is “forced to confront her true self and decide just what kind of hero she wants to become,” all while chasing a “dangerous and powerful” stolen artifact. ,
“Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft,” announced in 2021, is produced by Legendary Television and Powerhouse Animation, the studio behind the Castlevania anime. The series is executive produced and written by Tasha Huo, known for “The Witcher: Blood Origin,” and features Hayley Atwell (Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning) as the voice of Lara Croft.
This series should not be confused with another Tomb Raider project currently in development for Prime Video, which involves Fleabag creator Phoebe Waller-Bridge as writer and executive producer.
Fans of the legendary adventurer can look forward to a thrilling new chapter in Lara Croft’s story this October on Netflix.
