The new generation fixed early warning radar system (SEIRS) developed by ASELSAN impresses with its features. Providing advanced electronic protection against cyber attacks and anti-radiation missiles, SEIRS can be integrated into air and missile systems.
What does ASELSAN SEIRS promise?
According to the company’s statement, SEIRS is designed for long-range early warning purposes. It will serve as a new generation S-Band radar with AESA and digital beam forming technology. It can detect and track low altitude and low radar targets at long ranges.
Thanks to its AESA antenna architecture, the fixed radar can generate multiple beams at the same time. This increases mobility and does not require any additional steps for installation and dismantling. It can also connect to existing radar networks and transmit 3D aerial images to Control and Warning Centers.
It can fuse data with other fixed early warning radar systems and hand over targets. It can also perform target identification thanks to its long-range Mode 5 IFF interrogator.
