The testing process of the Kemankeş 2 Mini Smart Cruise Missile developed by Baykar Defence continues uninterruptedly. Finally, during the tests conducted at Baykar Flight Training and Test Center, the second system verification firing of the missile was successfully completed.
Bayraktar KEMANKES 2 passes second system test
Kemankeş 2 can reach its targets quickly thanks to its jet engine, which can stay in the air for about 1 hour. It can destroy all targets within a range of more than 200 kilometers. This means that the aircraft can hit targets behind enemy lines without putting itself at risk.
The artificial intelligence system enables the missile to fly autonomously and hit strategic targets with high accuracy. The missile, which can be used day and night, can continue its mission without being affected by electronic threats thanks to its anti-jamming feature.
It also transmits all the data and images it collects to the ground control station. Kemankeş 2 stands out as one of the important achievements of our national defense industry. According to the sharing made by Baykar, its main features are as follows:
Basic flight performance:
- 200 Km+ Operational Range
- 27,000 Feet Maximum Altitude
- 1 Hour Maximum Flight Duration
- 0.5 Meter Height
- 2.5 Meter Length
- 1.4 Meter Wing Span
- 70 Kilograms Maximum Weight
- 20 Kilograms Payload
+0.6 Mach Dive Speed
The first model of the Kemankeş series, Kemankeş 1, was first exhibited last year. In June, a firing test was conducted from Bayraktar TB2. The development of Kemankeş 2 continues rapidly within the scope of test studies.
