Türkiye has stepped into a new era with the aim of making a breakthrough in the field of technology and becoming a global center of attraction. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan announced the “HIT-30: High Technology Investment Program” and took a strategic step that will mark the future of Türkiye.

Massive investment for chip factory in Türkiye

The program aims to realize massive investments worth more than 20 billion dollars under the leadership of the private sector. One of the most important pillars of this program will be the establishment of a chip factory in Türkiye.

Speaking at a special meeting held at the Atatürk Cultural Center to introduce the program, President Erdoğan emphasized that high-tech investments play a critical role in building the vision of the Turkish Century.  

In his speech, President Erdoğan stated that the current global system is in a deep crisis and has moved away from producing solutions to problems. He concretized this view by citing the civil war in Syria, the conflict in Ukraine and the Israeli attacks on Gaza as examples.

Stating that in such an environment, Türkiye must stand on its own feet and continue on its way in a strong and independent manner, Erdoğan said, “We are in an intensive effort in every field to build the Turkish century with the goal of fully independent Türkiye.” He said that economic difficulties and the heavy destruction caused by the February 6 earthquakes would not deter Türkiye from its goals and that the growth strategy focused on investment, production, employment and exports would not be compromised.

Emphasizing that the HIT-30 program has the potential to turn Türkiye into a high-tech base in a wide range of fields from defense industry to automotive, from aviation to unmanned systems, from chemistry to solar energy cells, Erdoğan stated that private sector investments are vital for the success of the program. He added that the government is determined to develop all kinds of strategies to encourage and support these investments.
