When AMD’s Radeon RX 9070 series graphics cards with RDNA 4 architecture were released, it was expected to be sold at the suggested retail price. However, it has been observed that there has been a significant increase in the prices of the cards in recent days. In the follow-ups, it was seen that the price increases were reflected not only in the premium models but also in the entry-level versions.
Sad development about the Radeon RX 9070 series
AMD announced last week that it did not plan any price increases for the RX 9070 series. However, developments in the retail market revealed that this statement had no practical equivalent. It was determined that prices increased rapidly, especially after the first batch of stocks ran out.

AMD had officially set an official price of $549 for the RX 9070 and $599 for the RX 9070 XT. However, the price of the RX 9070 XT Reaper model increased from $599 to $699 at some retailers. The XFX RX 9070 XT Swift model has increased to $730.
In independent tests, it was observed that the RX 9070 XT competes with Nvidia’s RTX 4070 Ti Super model and leaves the RTX 5070 Ti behind in some scenarios. The RX 9070 model was positioned between the RTX 4070 Ti and 5070.
However, the fact that the prices increased more than expected has significantly weakened the competitive power and appeal of the cards. So what do you think about this issue? Do you think AMD’s pricing policy will be successful? You can share your opinions with us in the comments section below.
