The US Supreme Court today upheld the TikTok ban, which became law in March 2024. The law requires TikTok to sell its US operations to an American buyer or withdraw completely from the country. Following the decision, millions of US TikTok users are expecting a blackout as of Sunday. Details in our news…
The US Supreme Court approved the TikTok ban: Millions will be affected!
First of all, the US government made this decision on the grounds that TikTok could threaten national security. The law requires the China-based company to transfer its operations in the US to an American company. However, if TikTok does not accept this, the application’s activities in the country will be completely terminated.

Millions of active TikTok users in the US may not be able to access the app after this decision. This, in turn, will create a serious problem for content producers and people who earn income through TikTok. Although the decision is based on national security concerns, it is expected to spark a wide debate among social media users.
For now, we don’t yet know whether TikTok will comply with the ban or start a new appeal process. However, the US government’s stance suggests that the country will continue to take a stricter approach to regulations on technology companies.
