Apple announced the new operating system visionOS 26 for Vision Pro at today’s WWDC 2025 event. This update, which continues the company’s work in the field of spatial computing, stands out as one of the biggest software innovations for Vision Pro.
visionOS 26 officially announced
With the new version, Vision Pro now supports spatial widgets. Widgets for core apps like Clock, Weather, Music, and Photos can now be placed in the user’s physical environment in three dimensions. Users can access these widgets through the newly added Widgets app, which allows them to discover and organize all spatial widgets from a single hub.

With visionOS 26, Apple’s Persona system also received a notable update. The new version of Personas offers significantly higher accuracy in facial expression transfer compared to previous versions. Avatars now display details such as hair structure, eyelashes, and skin tone with greater clarity and can also be represented in a full side-profile view. This improved system presents user identities in a much more realistic way in the digital environment.
Nvidia GeForce RTX 5050 is coming! Here are its features
Nvidia is preparing to unveil the GeForce RTX 5050. The graphics card will be positioned in the entry-level segment.
The new operating system also expands spatial scene experiences. In these AI-powered scenes, users can do more than just look at the scene; they can also lean toward it or walk around it to examine details more closely. This feature transforms the viewing experience from a passive observation into an interactive exploration environment.
visionOS 26 marks the biggest software leap forward for Vision Pro since it gained Mac Virtual Desktop capabilities and Apple Intelligence integration last year. With this update, Apple is introducing features that leverage Vision Pro’s hardware power more effectively and enhance user interaction.
