vivo OriginOS 5: What’s new with the November update
First of all, the OriginOS 5 update is available by default for vivo’s new devices, the Vivo S20 Series and iQOO Neo10 Series. In addition, devices such as vivo X200 Pro, X Fold3 will also receive this update. However, some users may need to wait a little longer as the update will be rolled out gradually. Here’s what’s new with the update:
Atomic Island
Atom Island has been improved with a new gesture support. The Atom Island capsule can now be easily minimized and recalled by swiping left or right. This makes the interface more fluid to use. Improvements to the card structures will also make for faster and easier interaction.
Personalization and new functionalities
Third-party themes: By hiding app names, the desktop has a simpler and more minimalist look.
Calculator: Added the ability to view and reuse past transactions. It is also possible to control the operations more easily by swiping the screen.
Notification and Control Center: The ability to access the notification center by swiping left from the desktop and the control center by swiping right has been added. Now, one-handed operation will be easier.
Privacy and security improvements
Device Sensor Access Control: Users can now control apps’ access to device sensors. This feature will prevent unwanted functions such as “shake ad skipping”.
Password reset: Users who forget the new lock screen password will be able to reset it with the old password within 96 hours.
In short, when we look at the innovations, it is possible to say that the efficiency of the devices has increased. We also see that vivo is strengthening its user-friendly design approach day by day.
