Until now, there have been a lot of rumors and teasers about Vivo’s expected smartphone series, the Vivo S18. Now, the company has officially confirmed the launch of the S18 series, including the S18 and S18 Pro, in China on December 14th. According to the official images, the phone will be available in green and blue color options, and it will have more features. Here are the details about the Vivo S18 series…
Vivo S18 Pro to be powered by MediaTek 9200+ SoC
The upcoming phone series will be the successor to the S17 series, and it will have improved specifications. Vice President of Branding at Vivo, Jia Jingdong, has announced that the standard S18 model will be powered by the latest Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC, while the Pro version to be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ SoC.
Additionally, the company has revealed that the expected phone will feature a 50-megapixel Sony IMX920 flagship main camera, which is already used on the X100, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor, and the same 12-megapixel 50mm 2x telephoto portrait lens as the X90s.
On the front, the phone comes with a 50-megapixel selfie camera with dual soft LED lights. Also, it will have a 120Hz OLED screen and a 5,000mAh battery. According to the official announcements, the Vivo S18 series will be the thinnest, 5,000mAh mobile phone in 2023.
Although there are no more details about the Vivo S18, the brand has also confirmed the design of the phone with a punch-hole screen, triple rear cameras, and VCS text.
