Rumors that Vivo is working on its new smartphone series, the Vivo V70, are growing stronger. Recently, the Vivo V70 Lite 4G, a member of the series, appeared on Bluetooth SIG and FCC certification platforms, revealing some of its key specifications. Now, the main model, the Vivo V70 (model number: V2538), has surfaced on the Geekbench benchmarking platform.
Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 and Android 16!
This listing reveals some critical hardware details of the device for the first time. According to the Geekbench listing, the Vivo V70 is equipped with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, which also powers its predecessor, the Vivo V60. While the benchmarking platform doesn’t directly mention the chipset name, the listed CPU and GPU details confirm the presence of this powerful Snapdragon 7-series chip.

The device will run Android 16 out of the box. The tested model appears to have 8GB of RAM. The Vivo V70 scored 1235 points in the single-core test and 3920 points in the multi-core test, demonstrating a strong performance for the upper-midrange segment.
Vivo is expected to announce the Vivo V70 series in the first quarter of 2026 (likely February/March). The reason for this delay is related to the company’s current product launch schedule:
- Vivo is currently focused on the launch of the Vivo X300 series, which is expected to launch in Asian markets, particularly in India, in the first week of December.
- Preparations are also underway to launch the Vivo S50 and S50 Pro Mini models in China in December. The Pro Mini is expected to be rebranded as the Vivo X300 FE in the global market, while the S50 model is rumored to form the basis for the Vivo V70 series.
Vivo is expected to officially announce the arrival of the V70 series a few weeks after the X300 series launch.
