Volkswagen has launched a lifetime warranty for three models in the SUV segment in the Chinese market. Those who purchase one of the Volkswagen Tharu, Tiguan L Pro and Teramont Pro models will have a warranty covering basic systems such as engine, transmission, suspension and steering, without any mileage or duration limit. The application will only be valid for users who meet certain conditions. The lifetime warranty only covers the first owner of the vehicle and all maintenance operations must be carried out only at authorized Volkswagen services. The warranty will cover customers who purchase one of these models until April 30, 2025.
The intense competition in the Chinese automotive market was effective in the background of the decision.
