Production of Volvo’s new electric flagship, the ES90, has begun at its factory in Chengdu, China. Offering a range of up to 700 kilometers on a single charge, the vehicle will soon hit European roads.

This approximately 5-meter-long, liftback-style vehicle is positioned in the E segment. Distinguished by its aerodynamic silhouette and elegant lines, the Volvo ES90 will be available in the European market starting at €71,990.

The vehicle’s cockpit boasts a simple yet technologically advanced design. The interior features a slim digital instrument cluster and a vertically positioned 14.5-inch touchscreen. The trunk capacity is 424 liters, expanding to 733 liters with the rear seats folded down. Volvo promotes the ES90 as its “safest vehicle,” stating that it is equipped with the latest electronic safety systems.
The Volvo ES90 also boasts impressive performance. In addition to the base 245-horsepower rear-wheel-drive version, all-wheel-drive options are also available with 442 and 680 horsepower. The most powerful version accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds.
The vehicle comes with two different battery options: 92 kWh and 106 kWh. These batteries provide a range of between 640 and 700 kilometers. Furthermore, thanks to 350 kW fast charging, the battery can be charged to 80 percent in just 20 minutes.
