The EX30 Cross Country comes with several upgrades compared to the standard EX30 model. These include increased ground clearance, additional protective plastic cladding, 19-inch black wheels, and skid plates on the front and rear chassis, as well as along the sides of the body. These features give the vehicle a more rugged off-road look. Volvo will also offer 18-inch wheels with special off-road tires as an option.

The powertrain of the EX30 Cross Country is expected to be similar to the standard EX30. However, to enhance off-road performance, this version will be available only with a dual-motor all-wheel-drive (AWD) system. The single-motor rear-wheel-drive (RWD) version of the EX30 will not be included in the Cross Country lineup.
All EX30 models feature a 69 kWh battery. According to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the dual-motor performance version of the EX30 has a range of approximately 253 miles (407 km). In China, the corresponding model has a CLTC range of 590 km. The battery supports a maximum charging power of 153 kW, allowing it to charge from 10% to 80% in just 25 minutes with a compatible fast charger.
With its rugged design, powerful performance, and fast-charging capabilities, the Volvo EX30 Cross Country is set to make a strong impact in the electric vehicle market. The official reveal will take place on February 10.
