While more and more surprising features are emerging about electric vehicles every day, the vehicles being introduced are not slowing down either. Volvo, one of the automobile giants, recently announced the ES90 sedan model with 800V architecture and equipped with the latest technologies. Now, with the statements made by the company, it has been announced that the Volvo EX90 will be updated with 800V hardware and NVIDIA Orin. Here are the details.
Volvo EX90 can be charged for 300 km in 10 minutes with 800V
Volvo, which started to integrate the new 800V architecture into its vehicles with the ES90 sedan model introduced in the past days, announced that the 800V hardware update will also be made to the EX90 models currently offered to users in markets such as the United Kingdom.

With this change to be made for vehicles with 400V architecture, users will be able to obtain the hardware free of charge and without the need to purchase a new vehicle. Speaking of the increase in charging performance, the vehicle will be able to provide a range of 300 km in just 10 minutes with the 800V architecture.
In addition, when we look at the ES90 data, it charges from 10 percent to 80 percent in just 20 minutes. According to Volvo Cars CEO Jim Rowan, this upgrade will be offered in one of the future model year changes and unfortunately it will not be very soon.
In addition, the NVIDIA Drive AGC Orin platform found in the ES90 will be offered as a hardware upgrade for the EX90.
Here is what the CEO said about the Volvo EX90:
“I can confidently say that the EX90 is the best car we have ever built. After 950 kilometers of driving experience in three US states in various driving conditions and road surfaces, I have only positive memories. Charging, handling, ride comfort, the silence of the cabin, the legendary sound system, reliability, technology and the feel of the user interface; I have never driven a Volvo like this before. This EX90 is the beginning of a new era for Volvo Cars and it starts now.”
