It’s truly surprising to see Tesla making a name for itself not only with its electric cars but also with its service industry. When I first heard about a Tesla restaurant opening in the US, I thought it was a joke, but when I went and saw it in person, I realized how seriously it was taking the project. Every corner of this restaurant, called the Tesla Diner, was equipped with technology, and our experience was truly unique.
When we arrived at the restaurant, we noticed a plethora of Tesla charging stations. While we were eating inside, our car was charging super-fast outside, a great convenience for electric vehicle owners. Upon entering, you’ll notice that orders are placed on digital screens and you have to pick up your own drinks. Thoughtful details like Tesla-themed coloring pages for children also contribute to the family’s enjoyable time.
The design of the restaurant is reminiscent of a spaceport. It was quite amusing to see and greet the Optimus robot on the stairs as we ascended. The restaurant, which is a popular tourist attraction, even offers the opportunity to watch movies on the giant screen outside. Furthermore, the fact that the electricity used is generated from solar energy clearly demonstrates that Tesla has extended its sustainability vision to its restaurant.
Now for the food: the hamburger we ordered was served in a special cardboard box featuring a Cybertruck design. This box caught my attention so much that I couldn’t bear to throw it away and brought it back to Turkey as a souvenir. But to be honest, while Tesla is successful in automobiles, it seems they’re not as ambitious when it comes to burger flavor. They make excellent cars, but I can say that the food’s flavor fell a bit short of my expectations.
