The Consumer Electronics Show, or CES for short, is one of the most anticipated events in the tech world every year, showcasing a wide array of new products. As such, it is closely followed by technology enthusiasts. So, what can we expect to be unveiled at CES 2025? Here’s everything we know so far.
What will be unveiled at CES 2025?
Taking place from January 7 to January 11, CES 2025 will host new products from brands worldwide. To elaborate, companies from sectors such as smartphones, semiconductors, laptops, televisions, automotive, and artificial intelligence development are expected to showcase their innovations.
New Graphics Cards from NVIDIA and AMD
2025 promises to be a significant year for PC gamers. NVIDIA is anticipated to introduce its long-awaited RTX 5000 series at CES, while AMD’s CEO Lisa Su has confirmed that the new RDNA 4 GPUs will debut early next year.
Sources suggest AMD might take center stage during the event. The Radeon 7000 series lagged behind NVIDIA in areas like ray tracing technology, and the company’s FSR 3 failed to compete effectively with NVIDIA’s AI-powered DLSS 3.
As for NVIDIA, reports indicate that the RTX 5090 could offer up to a 70% performance boost compared to the RTX 4090, with other flagship cards delivering performance improvements ranging from 30% to 40%. These developments could push both NVIDIA and AMD to new heights in the PC gaming market.
AI-Powered Computers
Artificial intelligence continues to play a growing role in our lives, prompting brands to focus more on this technology. Like CES 2024, this year’s event is expected to spotlight AI-powered computers.
Intel, AMD, and Qualcomm have already incorporated more powerful NPUs into their chips this year. Microsoft also showcased its commitment to AI with the “fastest and smartest Windows PCs ever” under its Copilot+ line. CES 2025 is expected to feature many similar advancements.
Hearing Health-Focused Earbuds
Apple’s AirPods Pro 2 brought hearing health features to the forefront, inspiring other brands to follow suit. Sources indicate that many companies are planning to unveil hearing health-focused earbuds at CES 2025.
While Samsung and Google are rumored to have such products in development, their release might happen later in the year. Meanwhile, Sennheiser is expected to launch a hearing health-oriented earbud next month.
Electric Flying Taxis
Although concepts for flying taxis from major brands like Hyundai have been showcased at past CES events, the technology hasn’t yet reached significant milestones. However, with companies like Archer Aviation and Joby Aviation planning to roll out electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) services in 2025, electric flying taxis might have a more prominent presence at CES this year.
Of course, CES 2025 won’t be limited to these technologies and companies. From January 7 to January 11, tech enthusiasts can expect a true celebration of innovation.
