Whatsapp, the popular messaging app, frequently gets new design and functionality features. Among these constant changes, the channels that come with the latest updates stand out. When the page with status updates started to fill up with features like this, Whatsapp decided to add a facilitating feature.
WhatsApp will let you search status updates and channels
A new design change added to the beta of WhatsApp for Android will make it easier for users to quickly find their favorite creators and status updates. According to reports, a new search function will appear at the top right of the page with a traditional magnifying glass icon.
This custom UI will allow for a quick search in the statuses tab, helping you easily find your favorites, whether it’s someone’s latest status update or a favorite creator.
This feature is important as the merging of statuses and channels in the status updates tab reduces the ability of users to find their favorite users or creators. This issue has also been fixed in WhatsApp for Android beta version 2.23.20.16.
WhatsApp improvements are not limited to design and user experience; user security is also at the forefront. In the past weeks, it became clear that developers are working on passwords and Google Password Manager will be the default password manager.
There was also an additional privacy push in May with the Chat Lock feature. The feature hides sensitive chats and places them in a special section called Locked Chats and requires biometric authentication for access. WhatsApp is on its way to providing a more comprehensive experience for its users, both in terms of content and security.
