Xiaomi, one of the successful players in the smartphone market, continues to expand its product lineup. The Chinese brand is currently focusing on the Redmi A5 model. Recent developments reveal the processor of this upcoming device.
Which processor powers the Redmi A5?
According to the latest report shared by XiaomiTime, the Redmi A5 will be powered by the UniSoC T615 processor. Built on a 12 nm architecture, this chipset features 2x 1.8 GHz ARM Cortex-A75 and 6x 1.6 GHz ARM Cortex-A55 cores, along with a Mali-G57 MP1 GPU.

The model recently appeared in the FCC database with the model number 25028RN03L. It has been confirmed that the device will be available in 3/64 GB, 4/64 GB, 4/128 GB, and 6/128 GB variants. Additionally, it will run on Android 15-based HyperOS 2.0 right out of the box.
Although not yet confirmed, the Redmi A5 is expected to be a rebranded version of the POCO C71, which is also rumored to launch soon. Sources agree that both models will target the entry-level segment.
