Alien: Earth, the first Alien series in cinematic history, answered the question that many were wondering about after its first season premiered. The series, which received generally positive reviews and was well-received by viewers, achieved its desired outcome.
Alien: Earth Season 2 Confirmed
Series creator Noah Hawley had previously stated that Alien: Earth was not a one-season project and that a sequel would follow if it proved successful. Disney confirmed this expectation, officially announcing that it had renewed the series for a second season.

No specific date was given for the start of filming for the second season, but it has been announced that filming will begin next year. Like the first, the second season will be helmed by Noah Hawley. Hawley has previously produced successful series such as Fargo and Legion. Disney also announced that it has signed a new multi-year contract with Hawley.
As its name suggests, Alien: Earth takes the story to Earth. The series takes place in the year 2120, just two years before the events of the first Alien film. The story begins with a mysterious ship crashing on Earth.
A young woman and a group of soldiers, who go to check for survivors on the ship, face the greatest threat the planet has ever faced. As the rescue team struggles to survive, giant corporations vie for power over this “opportunity” in the background.
