While many people keep their old phones in a corner in a drawer, the phone collection of Wences Palau Fernandez from Barcelona takes this habit to a legendary level. This huge collection of phones has broken the Guinness World Record, becoming the world’s largest collection.
The record-breaking giant phone collection is unveiled! Contains exactly 3,615 phones
Wences Palau Fernandez started collecting phones with the Nokia 3210, the first mobile phone he bought in 1999. In 2008, Fernandez intensified his collection and started collecting Nokia models that he could not buy in the past.
In a short period of time, the collection grew to 700 phones and started to be exhibited in a special room. Today, the collection has reached 3,615 phones and offers a much larger archive than any other collection in the world.
Although Fernandez’s collection mainly includes Nokia phones, it also includes well-known brands such as Apple, Samsung, LG, Sony, as well as lesser-known brands such as Vertu and Yezz. The collection also includes old favorites like BlackBerry and Palm. Fernandez’s private online site features photos and videos covering Nokia’s history. Especially seeing the Asha series, Communicator series and the Nokia 5130 model produced for Star Wars in the collection offers a nostalgic experience.
Fernandez’s collection set a new record, surpassing Andrei Bilbie Argentis’ collection of 3,456 phones in 2023. Fernandez, who now sees his collection as a museum, continues to actively expand it.
