There was an important separation in Microsoft’s Xbox division. Xbox Corporate Vice President Kareem Choudhry announced his departure from the company after 26 years of service. According to various sources, April was Choudhry’s last term at Microsoft.

During his time at Microsoft, Kareem Choudhry led key projects such as the implementation of backwards compatibility for Xbox consoles and the development of Xbox Cloud Gaming. Prior to his departure, he led the newly formed Xbox Emerging Tech team (XEmTech), which focused on AI gaming.
The reasons for Choudhry’s departure and his future plans are not yet clear. However, sources say he left in mutual consultation with Microsoft. As a result of Choudhry’s departure, Xbox Emerging Tech will be included in Microsoft’s general hardware division.
This news comes amid Microsoft’s rapid changes in the gaming industry. Earlier this week, the company announced that it is working on an animated AI chatbot to help Xbox owners with support requests.
In addition, a new Xbox Experiences and Platforms team has been created to improve the gaming experience on Xbox and Windows.
In the past few months, nearly 2,000 people have been fired from companies affiliated with Xbox Game Studios, including Activision Blizzard. Microsoft seems to continue to experience important developments in terms of its game industry plans.
