Microsoft is rolling out a new integration system to make the Xbox app on Windows a much larger gaming hub. The company has begun testing a feature that will allow games downloaded from Steam, Battle.net, and Epic Games to now appear within the Xbox PC app. The new feature is initially available to Xbox Insiders.
Xbox’s PC app integrates Steam games
The new system allows users to view games they own from different stores under a single library within the Xbox app. The app automatically adds games downloaded from Steam and other supported stores to the “My Library” tab.

These games also appear in the “Recently Played” list in the sidebar. Manisha Oza, Microsoft’s Xbox platform product manager, said the feature will give players faster access to their games.
The collective game library feature will be integrated into the general version of the Xbox app by the end of 2025. The feature will also be supported on mobile PC platforms such as ASUS’s ROG Ally portable gaming device.
This move is part of Microsoft’s goal of turning the Xbox app into a comprehensive game control center for Windows users, rather than limiting it to its own Game Pass content.
Users can download the Xbox Insider Hub app to join the PC game preview program and experience this feature early. You can also customize which stores will be visible via the “Library and Extensions” menu in the app settings.
It is not yet clear whether support will be provided for other platforms such as GOG, EA apps, or Ubisoft Connect. However, the integrated games are not only displayed, but also launched through the relevant store client when they are launched.
