Xiaomi 13 Ultra comes with improved camera system
The new flagship phone comes as the “ultimate” of smartphone photography. We saw in the launch event that the phone has been showcased as a camera with its optically-oriented Leica M camera system. Xiaomi 13 Ultra has a Leica co-engineered Summicron lens, which is announced as the “coming-of-age ceremony in mobile imaging”.
The phone features four cameras on the back, including a 50-megapixel 1-inch Sony IMX 989 main sensor with f/1.9-f/4.0 variable aperture, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide, a telephoto, and a periscope telephoto camera. The three sensors utilize the Sony IMX 858 sensor, and all the cameras have Leica’s upgraded Summicron lenses on them. On the front, the Ultra device comes with a 32-megapixel camera.
On the display side, the new Xiaomi 13 Ultra has a 6.73-inch WQHD+ (3200 x 1440) LTPO AMOLED curved display with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. While the phone has Gorilla Glass Victus protection on the front, it has a 5,000mAh battery with 90W wired, 50W wireless, and 10W reverse wireless charging support. It means that you can charge up the phone to 100% in only 35 minutes. Additionally, the 13 Ultra can last up to 60 minutes via a special mode when it drops to a 1% charge.
The 13 Ultra is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage options. It is available in three color options in global markets, including black, white, and green. They have a “second-gen nano-tech material” on the back. The 13 Ultra costs CNY 5,999 for the 12GB+256GB, CNY 6,499 for the 16GB+512GB version, and CNY 7,299 for the 16GB+1TB model. If you would like to buy the hardware for photography, you need to pay CNY 799 for the addition.
