Xiaomi has accelerated work on its new flagship series, the Xiaomi 14. The new model, which is expected to be unveiled later this year, will break new ground for the Chinese manufacturer. The Xiaomi 14, which will feature advanced low-light sensors, will be the first phone to use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
Xiaomi 14 comes with 1TB version and bigger sensor
New leaks from China show that Xiaomi is working on a larger sensor for the main camera. It also shows that the new device will have up to 1TB of storage.
The leak reveals that the phone will have a 50-megapixel main camera with a 1/1.28-inch sensor. This would be a significant upgrade from the 48-megapixel main camera with 1/1.56-inch sensor on the Xiaomi 13 Pro.
Data from China also claims that the Xiaomi 14 will be available with up to 1TB of storage. This would be the highest storage option ever for a Xiaomi phone. The maximum storage option for the Xiaomi 13 Pro is limited to 512GB.
In addition to the bigger sensor and more storage, the Xiaomi 14 is expected to feature upgrades over the Xiaomi 13 Pro, such as a faster processor, a better display and a longer-lasting battery.
Here are the leaked specs of the Xiaomi 14 so far:
- 6.7-inch AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate
- Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor
- Up to 1TB of storage
- 50MP main + 48MP ultra-wide-angle + 12MP telephoto camera
- 4,500mAh battery and 120W fast charger
The phone is expected to be announced in the second half of 2023. After the launch in China, it remains unclear when it will hit the global market.
